Piedmont Christian Home
Our Story
Piedmont Christian Home was founded in 1965 by Ben and Irene Hunt, a couple whose hearts beat for ministry and service. After years of dedicated church leadership, unforeseen health challenges led Mr. Hunt to seek a new way to fulfill his calling. Rather than stepping away from ministry, he and his wife embraced a new mission—creating a home where older adults could receive compassionate, Christ-centered care.

In 1995, the second generation of the Hunt family took up the mantle, ensuring that the mission remained unchanged: to provide exceptional care with a personal, family-centered touch. Today, that mission continues through the third generation, who grew up immersed in the daily life of Piedmont Christian Home—living on the grounds, mowing the lawn, working in the kitchen, restocking vending machines, walking the halls, and building relationships with residents. This lifelong connection fuels a deep commitment to honoring the legacy of those who came before while ensuring every resident experiences the warmth, dignity, and care they deserve.
For nearly six decades, we have been committed to making every day the best day for those we serve.
At Piedmont Christian Home, our family serves your family. Because here, care isn’t just what we do—it’s who we are.
On June 21, 1965, Piedmont Christian Home welcomed its first residents. From the very beginning, it was more than just a care facility—it was a community. Mr. and Mrs. Hunt didn’t just oversee the home; they lived in an apartment within the healthcare center, personally investing in the lives of every resident. Their hands-on care and deep compassion set the foundation for a legacy of love that continues to this day.
